Chris enjoys actively engaging with schools, libraries and festivals throughout the world. His sessions are lively, interactive and full of chocolatey silliness.

Although he has enjoyed travelling across the UK to meet readers in person, he is currently not booking in any in-person events just now.

However, his virtual events have been in full flow throughout the pandemic and have brought some light relief to pupils, both in classrooms and at home.

He is especially busy during the World Book Day period and the run up to Easter, but there are still some spaces available. So if you are interested, please get in touch.

He organises his visits via Authors Aloud who provide great support in preparing for events. His Authors Aloud Virtual Event Page is here. Please contact Authors Aloud for costs and possible dates. His sessions run for about 30 mins with 15 mins afterwards for questions from the audience.

Chris is always keen to connect with teachers and classes via social media. So please feel free to ‘Follow’ him and pass on any comments or questions from pupils reading his books. He is on Twitter, Instagram and had an Author Facebook Page, but is happy to ‘Friend’ fellow booky people on his usual Facebook account too.

Chris has carried out events in the Roald Dahl Museum and Seven Stories (the National Centre for Children’s Books), he is a regular guest of The Northern Children’s Book Festival and has carried out several schemes for the National Literacy Trust and the Reading Agency. He has also been a regular contributor to the Summer Reading Challenge.
